The Whale Capital of Iceland

Húsavík is a small fishing town located by the shores of Skjálfandi bay, the bay that has over the years become famous for its excellent conditions for whale watching. Ever since the settlement, the interaction of the inhabitants with the sea and coastal culture has played an important role in everyday life. Whale watching has had great impact on this small town which now is called the Whale Watching Capital of Iceland.
